Pumpkin Activities for Toddlers

Updated: 5 hours ago

Pumpkins are everywhere this time of year, and they're perfect for little learners. This week we roll them, paint them, look inside them and watch how a tiny seed grows into a big orange pumpkin. It's a cozy, not-scary way to enjoy the season.
Everything below goes with Episode 8 of Sprocket & Sprout. Do a little each day, or pick the ones that fit your week.
Snacks
Mini Pumpkin Muffins. Soft, lightly sweet muffins your child can stir, scoop and count.
Letter H Snacks. Hummus, honeydew and ham, with a big H to build and eat.
Orange "Pumpkins". Peel a clementine and add a little green stem.
Jack-o'-Lantern Quesadilla. A cheesy, warm quesadilla with a happy pumpkin face.
Projects
Stop the Runaway Pumpkin. Build a ramp, roll a pumpkin down and build a stopper to catch it.
Wipe Out. A fast, silly letter game for H and the letters A to G.
Painted Mini Pumpkins. Lines, dots and patterns with washable paint and dot markers.
Fill It Up. Draw a giant 8 and fill it with eight things.
