Book Review: My Five Senses by Aliki
A boy walks us through his five senses: seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting and touching. For each one he shows what he notices with that part of his body, like seeing the moon, hearing a dog bark or touching a kitten. Near the end, he shows how he often uses more than one sense at a time.

Talk About It: The Letter C
Today we're learning C. For toddlers the goal isn't writing it. It's hearing the /k/ sound at the start of words like cat, cup and car, and connecting it to the curvy shape of C. (C sometimes says /s/, like in "circle," but /k/ is the one to start with.)

Letter C Snacks

Sock Match
Matching socks is a real-life job, and today it becomes a letter game. You lay out letter cards face up in pairs. Your child hunts for the two that match, then "folds" them together like a pair of socks and puts them in the laundry basket.
